Duties

• Assist with meal preparation and food service, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
• Support menu planning by preparing ingredients according to dietary guidelines and recipes
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Contribute to food industry best practices through proper knife skills, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
• Serve meals to residents or guests with professionalism and friendly customer service
• Aid in catering events or special meal occasions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food items
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment throughout your shift to promote a safe environment

Skills

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a restaurant or fine dining setting
• Knowledge of menu planning principles and dietary restrictions
• Experience with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in culinary techniques used in the food industry
• Ability to work efficiently during evening hours with minimal supervision
• Exceptional serving skills combined with a friendly, professional demeanor
