The Market Kitchen Cook I is responsible for a variety of food preparation duties and supports kitchen and restaurant staff members to provide an excellent quality of food and customer service.
- Prepares all menu items quickly, efficiently, and consistently.
- Prepares plates and baskets according to established proper presentation standards.
- Organizes, rotates, and stocks hot lines properly.
- Meets guests needs through timely and proper handling of all equipment and chemicals.
- Ensures the employee dining area is properly supplied with freshly prepared food.
- Complies with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls and government rules and regulations.
- Works in a safe manner at all times.
- Assists in other kitchens of the Casino as necessary.
- Keeps the work area clean and organized and deep cleans the area at the end of shifts.
- Follows the proper closing procedure with cleaning and labeling.
- Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.
- Promotes positive public and employee relations.
- Demonstrates commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct.
- Presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school Diploma or education equivalent required.
- Must have food service or Culinary Arts degree.
- 3 years related culinary work.
