Description We are seeking a skilled Cook specializing in South and North Indian cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of Indian culinary traditions, able to prepare a variety of authentic dishes with attention to detail and presentation.
Responsibilities - Prepare and cook a variety of South and North Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Experience in preparing authentic South and/or North Indian dishes
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety
Skills and Qualifications - 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Indian cuisine.
- Proficient in cooking techniques and methods specific to South and North Indian dishes.
- Knowledge of spices and ingredients used in Indian cooking.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food preparation.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
