Duties

• Greet customers warmly and process all transactions accurately at the cashier station
• Assist with food handling and meal preparation to support kitchen staff during busy periods
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
• Support dietary department staff with menu planning and dietary aide tasks as needed
• Handle cash securely while providing excellent customer service
• Restock supplies and ensure all food items are stored properly following safety protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or catering settings
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper knife skills for meal prep assistance
• Experience with dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
• Ability to assist with menu planning and food preparation tasks efficiently
• Excellent serving skills combined with a solid understanding of food industry standards
• Kitchen experience including cooking, food safety compliance, and meal presentation techniques
• Familiarity with catering operations and restaurant service practices
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward teamwork in fast-paced environments
