Duties
- Plan, organize, and lead interactive cooking and art sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to health guidelines and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports children with special education needs or developmental challenges
- Maintain organized materials and supplies for all activities, ensuring a smooth flow of lessons
- Engage children in discussions about their projects to enhance their understanding of arts, crafts, and culinary concepts
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop curriculum ideas that align with educational standards and program goals
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or tutoring settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development is essential
- Demonstrated classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
- Experience in theater, sports coaching, babysitting, or childcare roles will be considered valuable assets
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and working with children with diverse needs enhances effectiveness in this role
- Passion for arts, crafts, cooking, and fostering creativity in young learners is vital for success
