Position Overview

The CFS Supervisor oversees daily operations and field delivery of U.N.I's Coordinated Family Supports Program, ensuring high-quality, person-centered, culturally responsive services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities living in family homes. This position provides clinical supervision, staff mentoring, case review, and quality assurance to guarantee fidelity with DDS CFS Guidelines, Title 17, and HCBS Final Rule requirements. The CFS Supervisor supports program growth through training, community partnership development, and performance monitoring, ensuring effective outcomes for families.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $72,000 – $85,000 per year (based on experience & credentials)
  • Bonuses: $1,500 retention after 12 months • $2,000 after 36 months
  • Paid Time Off: 40 hrs PTO + 10 holidays + 10 wellness hrs (Based on accrued hours)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance evaluation for CFS Staff, Navigators, and Specialists
  • Conduct regular field observations and case reviews to ensure person-centered service delivery
  • Lead weekly team meetings, case conferences, and individual supervision sessions
  • Support staff in implementing culturally responsive practices and effective family-engagement strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Service Coordination & Quality Assurance

  • Review and approve Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and Family Support Plans for accuracy and compliance with relevant regulation
  • Monitor case documentation, service hours, and outcome reporting for Regional Center contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  • Track performance indicators, including family satisfaction, service linkage, and goal attainment
  • Collaborate with the QA/QI Team and the Program Director to identify trends and implement program improvements

Family Engagement & Advocacy

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex family cases, offering advanced advocacy and conflict resolution
  • Conduct periodic home visits to maintain rapport with families and evaluate the effectiveness of services
  • Ensure equity in access to culturally and linguistically appropriate services

Community & Regional Center Collaboration

  • Maintain strong working relationships with Regional Center Service Coordinators and external partners
  • Represent U.N.I at interagency meetings, family support networks, and community outreach events
  • Participate in program audits and Regional Center reviews as required

Training & Staff Development

  • Provide onboarding, shadowing, and skill-building sessions for new CFS staff
  • Deliver continuing-education topics on family systems, cultural competence, and Title 17 compliance
  • Support career advancement and certification pathways within the CFS team

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure timely submission of progress notes, outcome summaries, and incident reports
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and U.N.I policy.
  • Participate in annual compliance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Public Administration (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in family or developmental-disability services, including 1 year of staff supervision.
  • Knowledge of Regional Center systems, Title 17 regulations, and DDS CFS Guidelines (required)

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation (required)
  • Current CPR/First Aid (required; training provided)
  • DOJ/FBI background clearance (required)
  • RBT, BCaBA, LCSW, or similar credential (preferred)

  • Knowledge of family dynamics, systems navigation, and trauma-informed care

Working Conditions
