Job Summary
The Mobile Dental Unit & NCD Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the operations of a mobile dental unit that integrates oral health services with Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening, prevention, and referral services. The coordinator ensures effective service delivery, community engagement, data reporting, and compliance with health standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination & Operations
- Plan and schedule mobile dental unit visits to schools, communities, workplaces, and healthcare facilities
- Coordinate daily operations of the mobile unit, including staff deployment and logistics
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of dental and NCD screening equipment
- Coordinate transportation, fuel, maintenance, and security of the mobile unit
ervice Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Support dental and health teams in delivering integrated oral health and NCD services
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and clinical protocols
- Monitor service quality and patient flow at outreach sites
- Assist in implementation of oral cancer, diabetes, and hypertension screening programs
NCD Screening & Referral Management
- Oversee NCD risk assessments (blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI, tobacco use)
- Establish and maintain referral linkages with primary health centers and hospitals
- Track follow-up of patients referred for NCD or advanced dental care
Community Engagement & Health Promotion
- Coordinate with community leaders, schools, NGOs, and local authorities
- Organize community awareness sessions on oral health and NCD prevention
- Support behavior change communication activities related to tobacco cessation, nutrition, and lifestyle
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate service delivery records and patient data
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on dental and NCD activities
- Collect data for monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes
- Ensure confidentiality and proper data management
