Position Overview

Greentown Labs is seeking a sharp, mission-driven Coordinator to support the Marketing team's communications, content, and digital marketing work. This role is responsible for producing compelling content across diverse channels, amplifying the impact of our incubator, partnership, and programmatic work, and highlighting the work of our startup community.

You will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and collaborate with site-level teams in Boston and Houston to keep communications timely, on-brand, and impactful. This is an excellent entry point for a skilled storyteller who brings creativity, excellent writing skills, a keen eye for translating ecosystem narratives into compelling content, and who is passionate about the power of entrepreneurship to solve the world’s greatest climate and energy challenges. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to build a career in communications, marketing, or in the climate innovation space.

What you'll do

Communications & Copywriting

  • Write and edit copy for email newsletters, blog posts, event descriptions, website updates, and organizational announcements
  • Support the development of messaging and narrative content for programs, partnerships, and organizational initiatives
  • Assist with copywriting for various audiences in support of evolving organizational messaging and positioning, including website copy and other written and digital communications channels
  • Assist with the development of collateral including one-pagers, case studies, pitch decks, and brochures for member recruitment, partner business development, programmatic initiatives, and philanthropic efforts
  • Proofread and copy edit materials produced across the team and organization

Social Media + Brand Management

  • Draft and publish content for Greentown's social media channels, with a particular focus on LinkedIn

  • Support Greentown’s engagement with ecosystem events and partnerships, in coordination with site-level events and partnerships teams

Cross-Team Support

  • Serve as a communications partner to internal teams — philanthropy, corporate partnerships, startup engagement — helping develop templates, cadences, and copy for their outreach
  • Support on asset needs for content and events, including select event graphics, slides, one-pagers, swag, and other supporting collateral

  • Organized and proactive, with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage a content calendar and multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
  • Creative with a proclivity for thinking outside the box and improving existing process or workflows
  • Collaborative and communicative—you keep teammates informed and follow through on commitments
  • Curious about the climatetech ecosystem and eager to learn the stories of the startups and organizations at Greentown
  • Comfortable working across teams and with a variety of stakeholders, including senior staff and external partners

  • Organization: Strong project management and organizational skills; experience with content calendars or project tracking tools a plus
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cleantech, climatetech, or startup ecosystems; experience with event promotion or coordination
