Coordinator of Marketing and Communications

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive Coordinator of Marketing and Communications to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing and communications strategies for C3Cares, a nurse-led, community-embedded primary and chronic care organization serving under-resourced communities. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role is responsible for elevating brand visibility, supporting patient engagement and enrollment, strengthening partner communications, and ensuring consistent, mission-aligned messaging across all platforms. The position works closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and external vendors to advance organizational goals through clear, compelling, and data-informed communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies aligned with organizational priorities, patient engagement goals, and service expansion.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor community-based and digital marketing campaigns, including those supporting panel expansion, CCM enrollment, preventive services, and wellness initiatives.
  • Track and evaluate campaign effectiveness using defined metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, referrals, conversion rates), and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure marketing efforts support organizational growth and sustainability.

Communications & Brand Management

  • Ensure consistent, mission-aligned branding and messaging across all communication channels.
  • Draft and edit written content, including emails, newsletters, flyers, one-pagers, social media posts, and partner communications.
  • Support internal communications to ensure staff and partners are informed, aligned, and engaged.
  • Maintain and update communication materials to reflect current services, locations, and hours of operation.

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Coordinate and manage C3Cares’ social media presence in collaboration with leadership and vendors.
  • Participate in regular marketing and communications planning meetings.
  • Organize and maintain content calendars and posting schedules.
  • Support website updates and digital content management as needed.

Partner & Community Communications

  • Develop communication tools and materials for community partners, housing authorities, and referral sources.
  • Support external announcements, events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain a database of marketing and communication assets and track distribution.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor and report on marketing and communications performance metrics.
  • Prepare summaries and reports for leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with leadership and vendors to refine messaging and improve outcomes based on data.

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to anticipate communication needs and support organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate with external consultants or vendors supporting marketing, branding, or communications efforts.
  • Provide ad hoc support for special projects, campaigns, or initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in healthcare, public health, nonprofit, or community-based settings.
  • Experience managing digital campaigns, social media, and content development.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using analytics and performance metrics to inform strategy.
  • Commitment to health equity, community engagement, and mission-driven work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working in healthcare delivery, Medicaid managed care, public health, or community-based health settings, particularly within Washington, DC.
  • Experience serving under-resourced, medically complex, or socially vulnerable populations, with an understanding of social determinants of health and health equity principles.
  • Familiarity with DC public health systems, safety-net providers, and community health initiatives is strongly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with healthcare providers, managed care organizations, or population health teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and content management systems.
  • Experience working effectively with external vendors, consultants, and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience working with external vendors and consultants.

Work Environment

  • Fully remote position.
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for campaigns or events.
  • Local travel may be requested periodically for community engagement activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
