Coordinator - Routing

The Routing Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily routing operations of our fleet department. This includes organizing, scheduling, and refining our delivery transportation routes to maximize and enhance efficiency and fulfill customer delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the DSD managers in developing efficient routing plans for daily deliveries based on customer requirements, and delivery volumes.
  • Analyze route data, traffic patterns, and delivery constraints to optimize route efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with drivers and DSD managers to ensure accurate and timely execution of routes.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for drivers, and other internal teams regarding routing related items.
  • Performs work as assigned by DSD and Shipping managers.
  • Communicate route changes, updates, and instructions to drivers, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped for successful deliveries.
  • Assist order assembly team with pick tickets to ensure pallets are built accordingly.
  • Verifies that trucks are loaded correctly based on driver’s manifest.
  • Collaborate with customer service team to address any delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of routes, delivery schedules, and customer information using accurate software systems.
  • Assist with the tracking of company vehicles for maintenance and repairs to ensure their optimal performance.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations, transportation laws and best practices related to routing.
  • Ability and willingness to “roll up sleeves” and assist with tasks required by the team, e.g. drive forklift, move trucks and/or deliveries.
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in routing, transportation, logistics, or a similar role (manufacturing experience a plus).
  • Proficiency with routing and mapping software, routing optimization tools, and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation and routing concepts; familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with drivers, sales teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Solid functional and technical aptitude, including basic math and computer skills.
  • Commitment to completing required training programs and adhering to standard work processes.

Compensation Range: $25.00 - $32.00/hour.

Workspace Environment:
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including reaching above and below shoulder height to handle and move product.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling using appropriate muscle groups.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Willingness and ability to work in cold (32–45°F) and wet environments.
  • Required to wear all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job duties.
