Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the project and all external stakeholders (e.g., municipalities, traffic police, utility providers, local businesses, and community representatives).
  • Communicate project schedules, progress, and impacts (e.g., road closures, diversions) to concerned stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attend coordination meetings with authorities and represent the project team’s interests.
  • Identify potential conflicts with stakeholders early and work toward effective resolution.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to project management with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Maintain a stakeholder issue log and track resolutions.
  • Prepare and maintain stakeholder communication records, correspondence, and approvals.
  • Ensure that all stakeholder-related documentation is properly filed and updated.
  • Generate regular reports on stakeholder engagement activities and issues for the project manager.
  • Coordinate with utility authorities (water, power, telecom, etc.) for relocation, protection, or connection works.
  • Follow up on permit applications and approvals from relevant government bodies.
  • Ensure all necessary NOCs (No Objection Certificates) are obtained in time to support construction activities.
  • Coordinate with traffic authorities for temporary diversions, signage approvals, and road closures.
  • Support in preparing and distributing public notifications or advisories about construction impacts.
  • Ensure public safety and minimal disruption during the project execution.
  • Provide timely updates to the project management team on stakeholder-related matters.
  • Assist in arranging site visits, inspections, and meetings with authorities.
  • Ensure alignment between construction activities and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensure that all stakeholder-related activities comply with local laws, municipal regulations, and company standards.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with approved permits and authority instructions.
  • Liaise with the design and planning teams to ensure stakeholder requirements are incorporated into project drawings and schedules.
  • Communicate authority comments and feedback for design adjustments.
  • Identify potential stakeholder-related risks that may affect project progress or reputation.
  • Propose and implement mitigation plans in coordination with the project management team.
