POSITION PURPOSE:
This person will supports the legal team with litigation needs, contract administration, financial tracking, matter management, and department operations. This person will maintain organized workflows, tracks deadlines, and drives execution across internal teams. This person also serves as a liaison between each of the different legal functions, ensuring effective communication, alignment of objectives, as well reviewing process and systems to ensure efficient workflows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Serves as key partner to all groups within legal function as the primary point of contact providing ongoing support.
- Monitor the legal inbox, route items, and track completion.
- Manage SOP intake, open new matters, assign to counsel, and distribute documentation; track litigation in matter management tools.
- Schedule meetings, depositions, training, and vendor reviews.
- Maintain legal databases, templates, and playbooks.
- Process invoices, track budgets, and audit outside counsel billing.
- Process DocuSign envelopes, templates, routing, and signature completion.
- Manage franchise tenders for claims and litigation; coordinate franchise invoicing, documentation, and status updates.
- Track legal accruals and monthly budget items.
- Assist with legal financial reporting and audit support.
- Assist in contract management, trademark filings and renewals, and/or corporate filings as needed.
- Other administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the education and/or experience required.
Education/Work Experience:
Five-ten years of experience as Executive Admin or Coordinator for in-house Legal department, or a related role.
License/Certifications:
Valid Driver's License Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Works with urgency and follows directions well.
- Strong organization, accuracy and deadline tracking.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
- Understanding of QSR/Restaurant Industry.
- Strong collaboration skills; exceptional communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset and skills; meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret complex reports, documents, and correspondence.
- High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, Docusign, customized database applications, and internet research tools.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment on matters of significance to the company; ability to escalate issues as needed.
- Ability to report to the Support Center as required for cross-collaborative work with business partners and other corporate functions.

The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria. Individual pay will vary based on a variety of factors including years of experience, industry experience, education, geography, etc.
