Copy Editor - STM Books

Job Responsibilities:

• To check text to ensure it is well written, logically structured and in the right style for the intended audience with correct grammar and spelling
• Conduct extensive research and interviews to ensure content is accurate and up-to-date
• Proofread text and edit text at various stages of the writing process and in response to feedback from writers or creative persons
• Engage readers with informative, entertaining, and educational copy
• To ensure the text is in line with the client's requirements
• Check facts and raise queries with the author
• STM Books editing background
• Knowledge of all reference styles (e.g., AMA, APA, Vancouver).
• Good hold on English

Candidate profile:

• Graduation in English, Publishing, Journalism, Life Sciences, or a related field
• 3+ years of copy editing experience preferred, 2 years in Books
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Ability to remain detailed-oriented and focused when processing large amounts of text

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
