Copywriter

The Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling, clear, and persuasive copy that drives student recruitment, brand awareness, and institutional growth. This role involves crafting marketing materials, advertisements, website content, email campaigns, and promotional collateral. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer with a strong marketing mindset and the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences in the medical higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Marketing & Promotional Copywriting
● Write clear, concise, and engaging marketing copy for brochures, flyers, advertisements, and landing pages.
● Develop compelling calls-to-action (CTAs) for digital campaigns to boost student inquiries and conversions.
● Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Officer to create high-converting ad copy for Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other paid media.

2. Website & Email Content Creation
● Craft engaging website copy that aligns with SEO best practices and enhances user experience.
● Write persuasive email marketing campaigns for lead nurturing and student engagement.
● Collaborate with the Content & Social Media Specialist to ensure messaging consistency across platforms.

3. Institutional Storytelling & Branding
● Develop brand-aligned narratives highlighting the institution’s mission, vision, and unique selling points.
● Write student success stories, faculty spotlights, and alumni features to showcase the institution’s impact.
● Ensure all copy aligns with the institution’s tone of voice and branding guidelines.

4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
● Work closely with the Communication & Media Relations Officer to adapt PR messaging for marketing materials.
● Collaborate with the Admissions and Student Experience teams to create student-focused content that resonates with prospective students.
● Provide copywriting support for events, promotional campaigns, and institutional announcements.

5. Editing & Proofreading

● Edit and proofread marketing materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and grammatical precision.
● Ensure all copies are factually accurate, legally compliant, and consistent with institutional standards.


Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5+ years in copywriting, marketing communications, or content creation, preferably in higher education or healthcare.
● Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, focusing on persuasive marketing copy.
● Experience writing for multi-channel marketing campaigns (print, digital, social, and email).
● Familiarity with SEO writing practices and digital content optimization.
● Ability to adapt tone and style to fit different audiences and platforms.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments and meet tight deadlines.
