Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and CPA-certified Corporate Accounting & Tax Manager to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and tax filing for a growing multi-company organization.
This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, reconciliations, tax filings, and management reports across multiple business entities. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, tax experience, and the ability to manage financial reporting for multiple companies in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting records for multiple companies and business entities.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, cash flow summaries, and management reports.
- Perform and review bank, credit card, vendor, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
- Track revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, intercompany transactions, and overall company performance.
- Prepare financial summaries, schedules, and supporting documentation for management review.
- Analyze financial results, operating trends, cash flow, and profitability across multiple entities.
- Prepare, review, and file business tax returns and required tax reports on behalf of the company, as authorized.
- Assist with federal, state, and local tax filings, including business taxes, sales tax, excise tax, and other required reports.
- Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely filing and payment of company tax obligations.
- Maintain organized accounting records for tax, audit, and internal review purposes.
- Use QuickBooks Online, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar systems to review, reconcile, and report financial data.
- Recommend accounting process improvements and help ensure consistent procedures across all company entities.
- Communicate with company leadership regarding financial results, tax matters, reporting needs, and accounting concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of accounting, financial reporting, tax preparation, or related experience.
- Experience preparing Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, reconciliations, and management reports.
- Experience preparing and filing business tax returns and required tax reports.
- Experience managing accounting records for multiple companies or business entities.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial statements, and tax compliance.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-up.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and business information professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple companies, priorities, and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-entity company.
- Experience with Washington and Oregon business tax filings.
- Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or high-volume business experience preferred.
- Bilingual English and Chinese or English and Spanish is a plus.
- Prior experience working with business owners, executives, or external CPA firms is preferred.
