Corporate attorney

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney with a strong background in IT services and consulting. The role involves providing legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and contractual matters, ensuring compliance, and supporting business operations with risk-mitigated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and vendor agreements .
• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, employment, and regulatory matters .
• Support business teams in client negotiations and enable smooth deal closures.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, IT laws, and international regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) .
• Manage legal risks and proactively provide strategic advice to leadership.
• Liaise with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution .
• Support in drafting policies, processes, and compliance frameworks for global operations.
• Conduct internal training and awareness sessions on compliance and legal best practices.

Requirements

• LLB/LLM from a recognized institution.
• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably in IT services or consulting organizations.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation with international clients.
• Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, labor, and employment laws .
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a mid-to-large IT services/consulting company .
• Exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and cross-border legal issues .
• Membership in a Bar Council / Corporate Legal Association is a plus.
