About the Job

Legacy Housing Corporation has an immediate need for an experienced Corporate Attorney to administer all legal operations for the organization. This position serves as the company’s sole in-house counsel, reporting directly to the executive team and providing legal support across a wide range of corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of corporate governance, finance, securities, real estate, and business operations, along with the ability to balance legal compliance with practical business judgment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to employees, executives, and the Board of Directors on a full range of corporate, governance, finance, compensation, real estate, and securities matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and real estate documents.
• Oversee corporate governance and compliance with SEC and NASDAQ regulations, including preparation and review of 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy filings.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel for litigation, collections, employment law, and other specialized legal matters.
• Support business development, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Provide legal counsel on employment, regulatory, and risk management matters affecting company operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws applicable to manufacturing, sales, and lending.
• Develop and maintain internal policies, legal templates, and document management systems.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years in-house.
• Experience in corporate, securities, finance, or real estate law preferred.
• Prior work with a public or mid-sized private company highly desirable.

Pay: $100,000 - $180,000 commensurate with experience
