Corporate Communications Manager

The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for executing Cohu’s external and internal communications, investor‑facing materials, digital platforms, and brand governance. This role integrates Investor Relations (IR), Global Customer Group (GCG), and Marketing Communications (MarCom) deliverables to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely messaging to employees, customers, investors, and industry stakeholders. This is a highly visible and strategic role as you will be partnering with Executives to shape key company messaging both internally and externally.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead global MarCom to ensure consistent brand representation and high‑quality content across platforms; develop and manage team capabilities. Make recommendations for best practices, efficiency optimization, and overall structure of the group and the production of the content.
  • Oversee digital ecosystem, including websites, intranets, and SharePoint sites; maintain accuracy, usability, and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Key partner to Sales leadership enabling concise messaging and materials for customer engagements
  • Manage global social media presence, ensuring consistent, engaging content aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Drive content creation for company publications, leadership updates, trade submissions, and core industry reports.
  • Lead Cohu’s participation in global industry events and Supplier Day; maintain brand guidelines and product marketing materials.
  • Assist with preparation of communication materials for board of directors’ meetings, annual reports and annual shareholders meeting.
  • Spearhead creation of compelling, clear and accurate materials for investor meetings and analyst days aligning strategy with messaging priorities. Assist with other ad hoc investor relations activities and outreach.
  • Partner with HR leaders to enhance Cohu’s employer brand value.
  • Formalize and manage executive communication across internal channels: coffee talks, site visits, video messages, and global organizational announcements.

Supervisory Responsibility: Direct manager of one internal team member and manage relationships with outside vendors and service providers.

Desired Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing communications, investor relations support, or related roles. Preferably for a publicly listed company.
  • Exceptional communication skills to serve as a thought partner to senior leadership with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Strong writing, editing, and executive‑level content development skills.
  • Experience managing social channels, trade shows, events, branding, and collateral development.
  • Demonstrated experience managing WordPress platforms, SharePoint, and digital content ecosystems including proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Canva, and enterprise CMS platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, analytics (Google Analytics), and social media platforms.
  • Experience supporting earnings cycles, sustainability reporting, and external stakeholder communications preferred.
  • Proven project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, and unwavering discretion

Job Conditions/Physical Demands:

Role is based in San Diego, California at Cohu’s Corporate Headquarters with limited travel required.

Working in an office environment with minimal physical exertion and with ability to sit for prolonged periods at desk and to use computer keyboard and telecommunication equipment.
