Corporate Controller

Location: Sandy, Utah

Role Summary

We are looking for a tech-forward Corporate Controller to lead our global accounting operations. You will be responsible for the management and integrity of our financial statements, the efficiency of our close process, and the management of our financial tech stack. You will get hands-on experience in a wide range of responsibilities as you help our company grow. Your goal is to move beyond traditional reporting and provide the data-driven insights that allow our management team to make high-stakes strategic decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting and Reporting

  • GAAP Compliance: Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP/IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Global Consolidation: Oversee multi-entity and international consolidations, including foreign currency translations and intercompany eliminations.
  • Close Processes: Manage our month-end and year-end close processes to ensure a quick and accurate close.
  • Audit Management: Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring a seamless, “no-surprises” annual audit process.
  • Internal Controls: Design and implement robust internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk without sacrificing agility.

2. Compliance and Treasury Management

  • Cash Management: Oversee Treasury functions, optimizing cash flow and managing investment policies to ensure the “runway” is always visible and protected.
  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate adherence to state and federal tax and reporting regulations for all operational companies.
  • Tax Strategy: Work with external advisors on R&D tax credits, sales tax (Nexus) compliance, and international tax transfer pricing.

3. Routine Data Processes

  • Direct and manage all core accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and collections, and Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts from a financial perspective.
  • Work cross-functionally, particularly with Sales and Operations, to ensure accurate customer invoicing and proper revenue recognition in accordance with SaaS standards.

4. Human Resources and Payroll

  • Administer and process payroll for our employees worldwide.
  • Assist hiring managers in recruiting new team members.
  • Oversee and manage onboarding and offboarding processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of US GAAP is required. Experience with international accounting standards is a plus.
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
