Core Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for steering, coordinating, and monitoring Corporate Controlling activities for Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv Türkiye.
Main Tasks
Monthly financial closing:
• Coordination and execution of monthly financial closing activities for the legal entity in Corporate Controlling scope.
• Preparation and validation of management reports in IMPACT and other group tools, ensuring correct reflection of P&L, balance sheet and KPIs.
• Variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior year; preparation of explanations for management and HQ.
Financial planning and reporting:
• Coordination of annual budget (OP) and rolling forecast (FC) cycles for overheads and Corporate cost centers.
• Consolidation and challenge of input from functional areas; preparation of financial scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
• Preparation of regular steering decks and ad-hoc analyses for local management and HQ.
Corporate cost and overhead controlling:
• Controlling of all Corporate and overhead cost centers
• Monitoring budget utilization, identifying efficiency potentials and supporting cost optimization initiatives.
• Providing analytical support to department heads regarding staffing, external services and project costs.
Investment and Capex controlling:
• Steering and controlling of Capex projects within Corporate scope (e.g. facility investments, IT projects).
• Review of business cases, follow-up of actual vs. planned spending and post-investment reviews where applicable.
• Ensuring compliance with internal approval processes and global investment guidelines.
Education:
Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
Experience:
• 5 years of work experience in Controlling / Finance, preferably in an international company.
• Experience in Corporate / Overhead controlling and/or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles (IFRS and local GAAP).
• Experience in working with management and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. HR, IT, Facility, Legal).
Specific Knowledge:
• Fluent in English and Turkish.
• Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP FI/CO, SAP BW and planning tools (e.g. BPC, SAC) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to work with large data sets.
• Good understanding of economic and financial impacts of high inflation on multi-division companies.
