Description:
The Corporate Counsel provides in-house legal representation to the Company and Affiliates. The Corporate Counsel drafts and negotiates legal documents, advises on legal matters, and performs research on legal issues which include but are not limited to, agreements, healthcare, government regulations, and labor and employment.
- Negotiate, draft, and execute agreements on behalf of the Company, including but not limited to, business associate agreements, non-disclosure agreements, provider agreements, and professional service agreements.
- Draft, implement, and maintain corporate governance documents.
- Review legal matters potentially affecting the Company and provide guidance to senior management and Company’s General Counsel.
- Work alongside other departments within the Company and assist with and counsel on legal issues and risks.
- Advise on legal risks and liabilities.
- Research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the Company.
- Review Company materials to ensure they are in compliance with legal requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Company policies on industry-specific issues and regulatory affairs.
- Assist outside counsel with external legal needs and manage the use of outside counsel.
- Provide training to the Company on legal topics.
- Assist with special projects.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Current license to practice law in the state of Florida.
- Three to five years of applicable law practice experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
- Strong negotiating skills.
