Join Skar Audio, a $100M+ direct-to-consumer car audio brand, as our first in-house legal counsel. This is a rare opportunity to build and own the litigation function from the ground up in a high-growth, privately held company. Lead litigation strategy, manage demand letter responses, oversee external counsel relationships, and handle daily commercial, employment, and IP enforcement matters. About The Role

• Title: Corporate Counsel, Litigation
• Job Location: Tampa, FL
• Type: On-site
• Standard Office Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

What you'll be doing

• Lead all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial participation
• Represent the company at court hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare high-quality written legal documents
• Providing legal advice to the business and functions
• Managing actual and potential litigation matters

Required qualifications

• JD from accredited law school; active Florida Bar in good standing
• 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in civil or commercial litigation
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and court submissions
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail

Preferred skills for this role

• Strong background in corporate litigation, including contract disputes, shareholder issues, and regulatory investigations.
• Experience managing discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Familiarity with arbitration and mediation processes.
• Ability to work independently as the first hire in this function.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $140,000.00 - $175,000.00
