We are seeking a Corporate Lawyer who is a fresher or has limited professional experience with exposure to litigation. The role involves handling corporate contracts, supporting litigation matters, representing the company in legal proceedings when required, and safeguarding the company’s legal and brand interests.

Key Responsibilities

Contracts and Corporate Legal Work

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts including vendor agreements, client agreements, service contracts, and non disclosure agreements.
• Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and internal policies.
• Support business teams by providing legal inputs on commercial and operational matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and contract records.

Litigation and Dispute Management

• Assist in handling litigation matters involving the company, including civil, commercial, and regulatory disputes.
• Represent the company or support senior counsel in courts, tribunals, and other legal forums where permitted.
• Coordinate with external advocates and law firms for ongoing litigation.
• Prepare legal notices, replies, pleadings, briefs, and case summaries.

Risk Management and Brand Protection

• Safeguard the company’s brand, trademarks, and legal rights.
• Identify legal risks and support mitigation strategies.
• Assist in handling issues related to misuse of brand, intellectual property, or reputational risk.
• Ensure timely responses to legal notices and claims against the company.

Compliance and Advisory

• Support compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, and regulatory laws.
• Assist in internal legal audits and due diligence exercises.
• Keep track of legal developments relevant to the company’s business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.
• Enrollment with the relevant Bar Council.
• Fresher or candidate with some experience in litigation or corporate legal work.

Skills and Comprehension

• Basic understanding of contract law, commercial laws, and civil procedure.
• Exposure to litigation drafting and court processes.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external counsel.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professional judgment.

Good to Have

• Prior internship or trainee experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Willingness to appear in court and handle litigation related tasks.
• Interest in corporate law combined with dispute resolution.
