Corporate Quality Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

At PHD, quality is not just a function — it is a commitment to our customers, our products, and how we operate every day. The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening PHD’s quality systems to ensure consistent performance, continuous improvement, and alignment with our mission to deliver innovative automation solutions. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across all quality activities, including ISO compliance, root cause analysis, corrective action, and process standardization. The Quality Manager partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales to identify trends, solve problems at the source, and prevent recurrence. This is a highly visible leadership role that requires both hands-on problem solving and forward-thinking system development. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of ownership, a disciplined approach to quality, and the ability to influence teams across the organization to drive lasting improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Systems & ISO Leadership
  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO standards and audit readiness.
  • Drive standardization of processes, documentation, and procedures.
  • Serve as the lead for ISO-related activities and continuous system improvement.
  • Root Cause & Corrective Action Discipline
  • Lead root cause analysis for complaints, nonconformances, and supplier issues.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.
  • Quality Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify recurring issues.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve process capability.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication
  • Serve as the central quality partner across departments.
  • Communicate quality risks and performance clearly.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop the quality team.
  • Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office and manufacturing environment exposure

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Standing, walking, and computer use required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of manufacturing quality experience
  • Leadership experience required
  • ISO experience required
  • JD Edwards experience highly preferred
