Corporate System Manager – Egypt
The IT Onboard Operations Team ensures seamless IT operations across our fleet of river ships cruising in
Europe, Asia, and North Africa. We manage the entire IT infrastructure onboard, including VSAT, TVRO,
network and Wi-Fi systems, iTV systems, servers, and client devices.
As a Corporate System Manager, you will oversee IT systems for a fleet of ships and three corporate offices.
Your primary responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all IT systems,
storage, networks, internet connectivity, CCTV and related infrastructure, as well as implementing new
hardware and software solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute daily operations as outlined in run books and technical documentation provided during training.
Perform daily system monitoring to ensure integrity and availability of hardware, servers, CCTV, and key
processes; review system/application logs and verify scheduled jobs (e.g., backups).
Maintain operational and configuration documentation, policies, and procedures.
Generate periodic performance reports to support capacity planning.
Conduct performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as needed.
Manage data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
Maintain accurate hardware inventory and ensure all IT equipment (PCs, printers, POS systems, servers)
is in optimal condition.
Provide basic user training and support for common PC software and specialized property management
systems.
Develop and maintain documentation and build processes for IT systems.
Monitor and optimize internet communication systems for maximum performance.
Collaborate with internal teams and IT vendors for newbuild ships; oversee deployment progress at
construction yards.
Manage user-reported issues via the ticketing system.
Provide relief coverage for team members as required.
Travel monthly for onboard visits and inspections.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure management, IT support, networking, and server
administration.
Experience with TVRO, Wi-Fi systems, and virtualization technologies is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication skills and willingness to travel regularly
