Remote Corporate Trainer — Microsoft Excel (Live, Weekly)

Schedule: Every Tuesday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (Pacific Time)
Location: Remote (livestreamed)
Engagement: Part-time / Contract (ongoing weekly series)

About the Role

We’re looking for an engaging Excel corporate trainer to deliver live, four-hour sessions each Tuesday via multi-platform livestream. You’ll teach practical, business-ready Excel skills to a professional audience while managing a smooth broadcast using StreamYard (scenes, screen share, overlays, chat, and guest management). If you love explaining complex topics clearly, thrive in live settings, and are comfortable producing as you teach, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver live instruction on Excel (Microsoft 365/Office 2019+) covering formulas, data cleaning, lookups, PivotTables, charts, Power Query, and productivity workflows.
  • Operate StreamYard during sessions: set up scenes, lower thirds, screen/window shares, audio checks, countdowns, comments on screen, and call-to-action overlays.
  • Engage the audience: run Q&A, polls, and chat moderation; adapt pacing based on feedback/metrics.
  • Create/update materials: slides, datasets, practice files, and quick-reference guides.
  • Demo real business scenarios: reporting, dashboards, data hygiene, and repeatable processes.
  • Ensure broadcast quality: pre-flight tech checks; troubleshoot live issues calmly.
  • Capture outcomes: summarize key takeaways and next steps; share links/resources post-session.
  • Collaborate with the production team on run-of-show, promos, and post-event analytics.

What You’ll Need (Required)

  • Advanced Excel expertise (Microsoft 365/2019+):
  • Functions: XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, TEXT/DATE, dynamic arrays, LET, LAMBDA.
  • Data: PivotTables/Charts, Power Query (Get & Transform), basic Power Pivot/Data Model.
  • Visualization & reporting best practices.
  • Proven live-teaching experience (corporate workshops, bootcamps, or large webinars).
  • Hands-on StreamYard proficiency (must be comfortable running a show solo): scenes, destinations, guests, local recordings, brand assets, and live chat tools.
  • Broadcast-ready setup: reliable high-speed internet (≥15 Mbps up), HD webcam, quality mic, good lighting, and a quiet environment; ability to screen share smoothly.
  • Strong communication: clear pacing, audience rapport, and structured explanations.
  • Availability every Tuesday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM PT.

Nice to Have

  • Experience simulcasting to YouTube, LinkedIn Live, Facebook, and X.
  • Dual-monitor or teleprompter setup; stream deck familiarity.
  • Basic video/graphic skills for creating overlays, lower thirds, or thumbnails.
  • Accessibility awareness (keyboard-only demos, readable fonts/contrast, captions).
  • Knowledge of related tools: Power BI basics, Google Sheets parity tips.

What Success Looks Like

  • High attendee satisfaction and retention across the 4-hour block.
  • Clear, reusable practice files and templates.
  • Minimal broadcast issues; confident handling of live Q&A.
  • Measurable skills lift for learners week over week.

Logistics

  • Format: Live, instructor-led training with screen-share demos and interactive Q&A.
  • Frequency: Weekly (Tuesdays), with potential for special sessions or series.
  • Compensation: Competitive; commensurate with experience (contract).
  • Equipment: Trainer provides their own hardware/software and stable connection.
