Corporate Transactions & Advisory Associate – JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Legal Associate

Practice Area: Corporate

Location: Nanpura, Surat, Gujarat

Role Overview

The Associate will play a key role in advising clients on various corporate and commercial matters, leading transactions and supervising junior associates. The role requires strong technical expertise, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to independently manage complex assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and commercial contracts, including shareholder agreements, investment agreements, joint venture documentation, supply and service contracts, SaaS and licensing arrangements, employment documentation, and general business contracts.

2. Conduct and supervise legal due for clients.

3. Provide advisory support.

4. Review and structure transactions to ensure risk mitigation and alignment with Indian legal requirements.

5. Act as the primary point of contact for clients on key matters, ensuring timely, practical, and commercially aligned legal advice.

6. Manage multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision.

7. Guide, mentor, and supervise Junior Associates.

8. Review work products of Junior Associates and provide constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. LL.B. from a recognised university; LL.M. is an added advantage.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate and commercial law.

3. Strong drafting and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in commercial contracts.

4. Deep understanding of corporate laws, FEMA, contract law, and relevant sectoral regulations.

5. Ability to independently handle client interactions and lead transactions.

6. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and professional communication skills.

7. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving practice environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
