Corporate Travel Consultant

Our 70 year old travel company is looking for a highly qualified experienced Corporate Travel Consultant to work in our office! We are family owned and operated and have a comfortable work environment. We are growing and we are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, gets along with others and proficient through our Galileo/Sabre/Worldspan Travelport GDS system.

This includes working with our customers to determine destination, transportation, travel dates, and accommodations that are required to book a trip. The consultant will also be responsible for booking and issuing domestic and international airline tickets and must have excellent communication skills and good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Experience as a Corporate Travel Agent, Group Specialist or Leisure Air Consultant (min. 2 years preferred)
• Plan travel itineraries for airline bookings, accommodations, other travel services.
• Communicate with clients to determine their needs and advise them appropriate airline fares, travel dates, costs and accommodations.
• Book transportation, make hotel reservations and reconcile corporate travel bookings to a corporate credit card.
• Being able to deal with clients schedule changes and refunds.
• Enter data into our software and maintain client files
• Build travel profiles
• Maintain financial records
• Meet profit and sales targets

Skills

• Proven work experience as a travel agent (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Strong Ticketing Skills and knowledge of fares and rules booking airline tickets for domestic and international travel.
• Strong sales skills
• Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
• Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
• Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
• Building profiles in our computer GDS system is a must we are a Galileo/Travelport Agency.
• Efficient and friendly would be excellent qualities
• Experienced in problem solving and troubleshooting
• Full-time position available immediately. Salary commensurate with experience.
• References will be requested.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
