A prestigious US law firm with a rapidly expanding Middle East presence is seeking a Senior Associate (5–8 PQE) to join its Corporate and M&A team in Abu Dhabi . This hire will work directly with a highly respected Corporate Partner who has recently relocated to launch and lead the firm’s Abu Dhabi office—an opportunity to help shape and grow a flagship regional practice.

The Role

You will take a lead role on complex and high-value transactions across the GCC and internationally, including:

• Strategic M&A (public and private)
• Private equity investments and exits
• Joint ventures and strategic partnerships
• Sovereign investment mandates
• Transactions involving banks, investment platforms and state-backed enterprises

You’ll work closely with a partner known for advising global financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds and major corporates, gaining exposure to premium mandates and long-term institutional clients.

This role offers immediate responsibility, client contact, and a clear pathway to career progression within one of the world’s most respected corporate practices.

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

• 5–8 PQE in Corporate/M&A from a Magic Circle, elite US firm, or other top-tier international practice
• Exceptional track record on premium M&A and private equity transactions
• Proven experience working with sovereign wealth funds, state-owned entities, banks or major financial institutions
• Strong technical and drafting ability with excellent commercial judgement
• Confidence operating in lean teams and supporting on business development as the Abu Dhabi office grows
• A motivated, collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset

Regional experience is beneficial but not essential. International relocators who meet the calibre requirements are welcomed.
