Minimum
Qualification:
High school diploma/GED, Georgia P.O.S.T. certification,
and two (2) years of supervisory custodial experience in a
criminal justice or correctional system, in which one (1)
year of which experience is at the lower level Correctional
Lieutenant (PSP065) or position equivalent; or one (1) year
of experience required at the lower level Correctional
Captain (PSM060) or position equivalent.
Preferred
Qualification:
One year of full-time experience in directing through subordinate managers, security activities and staff at a state correctional facility operated by the Georgia Department of Corrections. Or two years of full-time experience in directing through subordinate managers, security activities and staff in a correctional setting outside the Georgia Department of Corrections. Or completion of an undergraduate degree in criminal justice, one of the behavioral sciences (e.g. Counseling, psychology, sociology, etc.) or a related field at a four year college or university.
