The Northwest Regional Corrections Center (NWRCC) in Crookston MN is hiring for the position of FT and PT Corrections Officers to work with male and female inmates in an adult jail. Starting Wage of $24.98/hour with no experience as of January 1, 2026. Duties include but are not limited to: Inmate supervision; inmate transport; searches; well-being checks; booking and release of inmates; meal delivery; medication delivery; security system monitoring and numerous inventories/counts.

SALARY Information:

Effective January 1, 2026, starting salary of $24.98/hour with no experience required. Wage increases to $25.98/hour upon completion of 6 months of employment. Additional wage increases to $27.02/hour upon completion of first 12 months of employment.

Single and Family Insurance plans are fully covered with no out-of-pocket expense to the employee to cover monthly premium.

The hourly rate of pay does not include multiple wage/salary enhancements which significantly increase the average rate of pay! Additional compensation for shift differential, shift briefing, staff meetings, OT and holiday pay add approximately $2.50/hour on average over the course of the year.

Part Time Positions include flexible hours and scheduling, including working around school schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Possess a high school diploma or GED.

2. Have a valid driver’s license and active automobile insurance coverage.

3. Successful completion & acceptable results of the required criminal history background check, pre-employment drug screening and all other testing and/or background investigation work required for the position.

Training provided in the use of: Taser; Pepper Spray; Defensive Tactics; Report Writing; Restraint Chair / Devices; Emergency Procedures; Communication Skills; Inmate Transports; and many other topics.
