JOB CLASSIFICATION: CORRECTIONS OFFICER

2RATE OF PAY: $24.31 hourly; $26.20 after 1 year. After 6 months of employment, eligible to receive $500.00 bi-annual retention bonus.

Requirements Include:

• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency and a valid driver's license.
• Must successfully complete physical and psychological examinations by a CCNO approved physician, including drug testing. Must have or be willing to complete Basic Corrections Officer course.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor safety, security, and care of inmates, adhering to established protocols.
• Complete necessary paperwork for incarceration, intake, and release procedures.
• Transport inmates as required, both within and outside the facility.
• Provide emergency assistance and maintain facility security.
• Conduct inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with law enforcement, families, and other professionals.
