Job Description:

As a Medical Assistant, you are the doctor's right hand and an important role in our patients' care. Your responsibilities will include assisting the providers during patient exams, treatments and surgeries, obtaining medical history and chief complaint, anticipating provider's next steps, providing patient education, maintaining inventory of medical supplies, sterilizing instruments, and coordinating patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interview patients to obtain medical information
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Record patients' medical history and information such as test results in medical records.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications and physicians' instructions to patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Collect tissue or laboratory specimens, log and prepare them for testing.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or performing such tasks as removing sutures.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Change dressings on wounds.
• Inventory medical supplies.
• Process patient payments and schedule appointments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
