POSITION OVERVIEW
Instructors will be responsible for both theory-based and clinical instruction, preparing students to enter the student clinic and ultimately the workforce as licensed professionals. This position is fast-paced with an already established schedule and an extremely busy student body. Located directly off of US HWY 19 in New Port Richey, Bene’s Career Academy thrives on student success, hands-on learning, and professional development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruct, lead, and mentor students with professionalism and energy.
- Provide immediate coaching and correction during practical instruction and clinic operations.
- Facilitate hands-on instruction and theory education in alignment with state licensure requirements and institutional curriculum.
- Model and enforce high standards of sanitation, appearance, and professionalism.
- Prepare students for guest service delivery using real-world service standards.
- Monitor student progress, enter grades, attendance, and performance in Prestige SIS.
- Address professional behavior, dress code, and attendance in daily coaching interactions.
- Collaborate with administrative and leadership teams to ensure complete documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in school events including orientation, graduation, recognition ceremonies, and community service opportunities.
- Maintain a professional, clean, and organized classroom and clinical environment.
- Complete mandatory training and professional development activities.
- Be an advocate for innovative, student-centered education.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Ensure all students maintain a GPA of at least 85% and meet attendance benchmarks.
- Promote a guest-centered culture aligned with industry best practices.
- Actively support students’ transition into the clinic floor and eventual licensure.
- Communicate proactively with management to elevate the student experience.
- Instill real-world expectations that align with current industry practices and state regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Florida license in one or more of the following: Cosmetology, Facial Specialist, Full Specialist, Massage Therapist, Nail Specialist, or Barber
- 3+ years of industry experience
- 2+ years of teaching experience preferred
- Must be proficient in relevant services (e.g., waxing, facials, hair removal, nail services, massage techniques, barber cuts, Hair styling and coloring as applicable)
- Technical proficiency with learning systems and attendance/grading platforms
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- 5 Days a week
- 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 5:00PM-10:00PM
- Pay: Varies based on qualifications
