Our organization is currently seeking a Cost Accountant to be responsible for tracking and monitoring all financial activity related to production, quality and development costs. The successful candidate will have a background in accounting and previously worked on a team that created cost models. This is a full-time position and the ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of both fixed and variable costs.

Responsibilities:

• Input, process and analyze financial data.
• Coordinate annual audit with third party accounting firm.
• Multi-state tax compliance and reporting on incoming and outgoing orders.
• Monitor accuracy of daily accounting data and make adjustments when necessary.
• Develop, consolidate and interpret accounting data.
• Provide advice on new financial strategies.
• Plan and implement new financial strategies.
• Ad hoc financial reporting as required.
• Month/year end financial reporting.
• Job cost accounting, manage WIP schedule and POC recognition.
• Manage cash flow (incoming/outgoing payments, bank reconciliation, etc.)
• Process contract invoices.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and Percent of Completion.
• Support in maintenance of ERP Kinetic (Epicor).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Accounting: 4 years (Preferred)
• Cost accounting: 3 years (Preferred)
• ERP systems: 1 year (Preferred)
