Cost Analyst

S. Zia-Ul-Haq & Sons is looking for a Cost Analyst!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to support cost control, budgeting, and financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will analyze operational and financial data, monitor cost trends, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency across projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze cost data related to procurement, inventory, operations, and projects
• Develop and maintain costing models for food, materials, labor, and overheads
• Monitor actual vs. budgeted costs and highlight variances
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly costing reports
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and reconciliation from multiple sources (ERP, Excel, etc.)
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies in operations
• Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams for accurate data flow
• Analyze vendor pricing trends and support negotiation insights
• Assist in menu costing / project costing / BOQ costing (if applicable)
• Create dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, or other BI tools
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
• 3–4 years of experience in data analysis / costing / financial analysis
• Strong knowledge of costing concepts and financial reporting

Required Skills:

• Strong command of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query preferred)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or others)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret large datasets and convert into actionable insights
• Good understanding of inventory and procurement costing
• Strong communication and coordination skills
