Cost Center Accountant – Carpentry & Wood Field

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the UAE, specializing in the carpentry and interior design field. The ideal candidate must have strong accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with UAE VAT regulations, bookkeeping, and financial reporting, along with an understanding of the industry’s specific workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations – including VAT returns, input/output reconciliation, and record keeping.
• Monitor cash flow and expense tracking specific to carpentry and interior projects.
• Assist in payroll processing and WPS compliance.
• Support audit and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with project and procurement teams to ensure proper cost allocation for carpentry and interior works.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance.
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Prior experience in carpentry, interior fit-out, or construction industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT laws, and corporate tax fundamentals.
• Proficient in accounting software (Odoo).
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
