About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Cost Controller with experience in the F&B or restaurant industry to collaborate with department managers in analyzing costs, optimizing vendor relationships, and maximizing profitability. The role requires a strong commitment to financial accuracy and business efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. You will be responsible for a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance financial reporting accuracy, and ensure compliance with international accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability.
- Provide critical assessment of budgets and cost projections.
- Evaluate incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best pricing.
- Stay informed on market trends affecting resource costs and explore potential vendor partnerships or cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze invoices to verify accuracy of received products/services and costs.
- Work with department heads to identify ways to minimize waste.
- Understand the interdependency of cost drivers and the impact of productivity on profitability.
- Develop and implement cost-cutting measures and proactive solutions.
- Roll out cost-saving programs with clear timelines and assessment goals.
- Establish cost control policies and guidelines across the business.
- Maintain accurate project schedules, budgets, and fund management reporting.
- Forecast and report financial performance to management regularly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in cost control, with proven experience in F&B or restaurant operations, ideally within a diversified group.
