Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Engineer to join our team. The role involves preparing cost estimates, monitoring budgets, and providing financial analysis to ensure the successful execution of oil & gas and industrial EPC projects. This hybrid position offers flexibility to work remotely while attending key meetings and site visits near Nagercoil.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for engineering, procurement, and construction phases of projects.

· Develop and maintain project cost control systems, budgets, and forecasts.

· Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.

· Perform cost variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

· Prepare detailed cost reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.

· Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to gather cost data.

· Support bid preparation, tender evaluation, and vendor negotiations.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and contractual terms.

· Participate in risk assessments and develop contingency cost plans.

· Assist in project close-out by preparing final cost reports and lessons learned documentation.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field.

· 3–8 years of experience in cost engineering or project cost control, preferably in oil & gas or EPC projects.

· Proficiency in cost control tools and software such as MS Excel, SAP, or equivalent.

· Strong understanding of cost estimation methodologies and industry practices.

· Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for large projects.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
