Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Perform cost analysis and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement and monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to track project performance and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate variations, claims, and change orders, and assess their financial impact on the project.
- Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, procurement teams, and site personnel to obtain accurate cost data.
- Prepare periodic cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and management presentations.
- Analyze project risks and recommend cost-control measures to improve project profitability.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and provide commercial recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and project cost control standards.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, commitments, and financial performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Cost Engineer in high-rise building construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost analysis techniques.
- Professional certification such as CCP, PMP, or Construction Management certification is preferred.
- Good knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost control software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
