About the Role
The cost estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for marine engineering project, ensuring alignment with technical specification, client requirements and company standards. The role involves analysing project data, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring that all cost proposal are technically sound, commercially viable and submitted within defined timelines.
Responsibilities
Interprets technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and reliable cost assessment.
Interprets parts, sub assembly, assembly of parts
Understanding of the production process; fabrication and machining
Ability to correlate the production process and technical information in drawings
Provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing quotations, proposals, contract and estimation of enquiries for preparation of Offers.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement and operations team to validate cost inputs and assumption
Understand the strength requirements of structural elements
Knowledge of forging and forged materials
Ability to predict the use of wear resistant material in structures and rotating parts
Knowledge of casting process and cast materials
Must Have
3+ years of experience as Estimation Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in MS office ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools.
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
