Cost Estimation and Analysis
Analyze project specifications: Review client briefs, technical drawings (e.g., in AutoCAD), and design specifications to understand all project requirements.
Calculate costs: Determine the required materials, labor hours, equipment, logistics, transport, and installation costs for each project.
Prepare BoQs and quotations: Create detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs), cost sheets, and formal quotations or tender bids for submission to clients and management.
Cost monitoring: Track project costs throughout the execution phase to ensure the project stays within the estimated budget and identify reasons for any discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
Collaboration and Coordination
Internal collaboration: Work closely with the sales, design, production, and project management teams to ensure alignment between client expectations, design intent, and budget constraints.
External consultation: Consult with clients, architects, and designers to clarify information and finalize project budgets.
Site visits: Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings when necessary to gather accurate information for project assessment.
Supplier and Vendor Management
Sourcing and negotiation: Research and source reliable vendors and suppliers for raw materials and services, obtaining competitive quotations and negotiating the best possible prices and terms.
Relationship management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Subcontractor management: Evaluate and review subcontractor proposals to ensure completeness and accuracy.
