Costume Jewellery Designer

Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Jewellery Designer to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative fashion jewellery collections. The ideal candidate should have strong trend awareness, material knowledge (especially beads, seed beads, raffia, metals, stones), and the ability to convert ideas into production-ready designs suitable for wholesale and export markets.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Concept Development

• Create original jewellery designs (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, statement pieces).
• Develop seasonal collections aligned with global trends and target markets (USA, Europe, Australia, UK etc)
• Prepare mood boards, color stories, and design themes.
• Stay updated with fashion trends, runway styles, and competitor analysis.

2. Product Development

• Develop samples in coordination with artisans and sampling teams.
• Ensure designs are feasible for bulk production.
• Work on cost optimization without compromising aesthetics.
• Approve prototypes and final samples before production.

3. Technical & Production Coordination

• Prepare detailed design sheets with measurements, material specifications, and finishing details.
• Coordinate with sourcing team for beads, stones, threads, metals, and accessories.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained in final production.
• Support QC team in maintaining design consistency.

4. Market & Customer Alignment

• Design collections based on client briefs and MOQ requirements.
• Customize designs for B2B buyers.
• Understand pricing segments and design accordingly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Jewellery Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in fashion jewellery / costume jewellery.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Seed beads
• Raffia / natural fibers
• Statement jewellery
• Metal components & finishes
• Proficiency in design tools (CorelDRAW, Illustrator, or similar).
• Strong color sense and aesthetic understanding.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualities

• Trend-driven and innovative thinker.
• Commercially aware (understands what sells).
• Experience in export-oriented jewellery manufacturing.
• Ability to create collections under target price points.
• Understanding of global wholesale markets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,270.61 - ₹30,000.00 per month
