Position: Senior Contract Attorney – Real Estate

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Contract Attorney
with a strong background in commercial real estate law. In this role, you will support business partners and clients by providing transactional real estate expertise while working collaboratively with other attorneys in the Real Estate Practice Group.
Key Responsibilities

Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate, including:

Contract preparation and negotiation
-
Title analysis and survey review
-
Draft and negotiate commercial leases, licenses, easements, and related agreements.

Manage third-party property matters, disputes, and negotiations involving:

Commercial entities
-
Governmental entities
-
Railroads
-
Private individuals
-
Support cross-functional projects and initiatives affecting the company’s property portfolio.

Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality legal memoranda.
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
-
Admission to, and in good standing with, the Massachusetts Bar.

Admission in NY, NH, or VT is a plus (candidates admitted in these jurisdictions will be considered).

5–10 years of experience practicing commercial real estate law, either in a law firm, as in-house counsel, or with a governmental entity.

Proven ability to manage real estate transactions from start to finish, including:

Purchases/sales

Leases
-
Easements
-
Licenses
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders in both public and private sectors.

Prior experience in regulated industries is a plus, but not required.
