A nationally recognized, management-side labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney (5+ years) to join as Counsel. The firm represents employers across a broad range of industries and is known for delivering high-quality legal work within a collaborative and professional environment.
This is a fully remote opportunity offering meaningful case responsibility, flexibility, and strong institutional support.
Position Overview
The Counsel will manage administrative charges, demand letters, and employment litigation matters on behalf of employer clients, including organizations covered by Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI).
The role emphasizes strategic case management and written advocacy, with limited in-person appearances for depositions, hearings, conferences, or trials as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters in federal and state courts
- Handle administrative charges before agencies (e.g., EEOC, state fair employment agencies)
- Draft and respond to demand letters and pre-litigation matters
- Conduct legal research, motion practice, and case strategy development
- Collaborate with partners, attorneys, and paralegals on case progression
- Provide strategic guidance to employer clients regarding risk mitigation and compliance
- Maintain effective case management in a fully remote environment
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership in good standing (required)
- 5+ years of employment law and litigation experience (required)
- Experience handling matters before administrative agencies
- Federal and state court litigation experience
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload remotely
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior law firm experience
- Experience managing EPLI-covered employment matters
