Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Student Counsellor to guide students in academic planning, career choices, personal development, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to support students in making informed decisions about their education and future.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Guidance & Support

Provide one-on-one counselling sessions for academic, personal, and career-related issues.

Understand student concerns and recommend appropriate solutions or interventions.

Support students in goal-setting, decision-making, and time management.

2. Academic & Career Counselling

Assist students in identifying academic strengths, career interests, and potential career paths.

Guide students on courses, educational programs, entrance exams, scholarships, and higher education opportunities.

Conduct career assessments and interpret results.

3. Communication & Coordination

Maintain regular communication with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

Organize counselling workshops on topics like stress management, exam preparation, and career awareness.

Collaborate with faculty to support students’ academic performance and well-being.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions and student progress.

Prepare weekly/monthly reports on student development activities.

Ensure confidentiality and ethical conduct in handling student information.

5. Student Development Activities

Plan and conduct group sessions, seminars, and awareness programs.

Support initiatives related to student engagement, motivation, and skill-building.

Required Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong listening and problem-solving abilities

Empathy, patience, and a student-centric approach

Ability to manage sensitive situations professionally

Confidence in conducting workshops and group sessions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or related field

1–3 years of experience in student counselling (preferred)

Certification in counselling or career guidance (added advantage)

Work Environment

School, college, training institute, or educational consultancy

Full-time, on-site role with interaction with students, teachers, and parents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
