Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Front Counter/Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of food and beverage service, and experience working in fast-paced or fine dining environments. This role involves engaging with guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction in a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
  • Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests as needed
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met in food handling and service
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Italian food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
  • Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability preferred
  • Previous host/host or bussing experience is beneficial but not mandatory

Job Type: Part-time
