Country Manager - Railway Sector

At ECB Group we are looking for a Country Manager to join an international company specializing in the execution of railway projects. The company focuses primarily on the “last mile” of railway infrastructure, including ancillary civil engineering work, telecommunications deployment, and support for the installation of signaling systems, with a strong presence in Egypt and several ongoing projects.

The Country Manager will act as the top representative in Egypt, leading the local organization and ensuring the proper execution of projects, team coordination, and the implementation of structure and processes.

The selected person will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead the overall operations of the company in Egypt.
• Manage and align local teams, including operations, support, and related functions.
• Coordinate a local team of approximately 70–100 people.
• Maintain high-level relationships and communication with local authorities.
• Act as the operational point of contact with clients, integrators, and technology partners.
• Coordinate with headquarters on strategic decision-making.
• Foster a culture of execution, discipline, and accountability.
• Take direct responsibility for operations and on-site project execution.

To perform successfully, the ideal candidate will have:

• Strong knowledge of railway infrastructure projects, including signaling and telecommunications.
• 8 to 15 years of experience in leadership roles within railway projects, infrastructure, signaling, or telecommunications.
• Experience in civil works related to network deployment or similar projects.
• Proven experience managing operations or leading complex projects.
• Experience in international or complex market environments.

• Arabic: mandatory.
• English: mandatory.
