Country Manager – Sales (Turkey) - Two-Wheeler / Motorcycle

A globally recognized two-wheeler manufacturer with a strong presence across several countries. Known for performance, reliability, and affordability, the company is now expanding its footprint in Turkey. This role is crucial to establish and grow the brand, network, and customer base in the Turkish market.

Key Responsibilities:1. Market Entry & Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for the Turkey region.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify market potential for two-wheelers (motorcycles/scooters/electric models).
  • Develop short and long-term strategic plans in line with the company’s global expansion objectives.

2. Business Development

  • Identify, appoint, and manage distributors, dealers, and partners across Turkey.
  • Drive retail and wholesale sales growth through a robust partner network.
  • Monitor partner performance and provide strategic support to maximize revenue.

3. Sales & Revenue Targets

  • Define and own sales targets for the Turkey region.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgeting, and pricing strategy in line with market dynamics.
  • Regularly review performance and implement corrective actions to meet targets.

4. Brand Development & Marketing

  • Work with the corporate marketing team to localize campaigns and product positioning.
  • Plan and execute local promotional activities, launch events, and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure brand compliance and consistency in all external communications.

5. Customer Experience & After-Sales

  • Set up and monitor after-sales service processes in partnership with local distributors.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, warranty support, and service training.
  • Monitor spare parts availability and service network development.

6. Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local import regulations, homologation, and certification processes.
  • Liaise with local authorities and legal counsel for business operations and product approvals.

7. Reporting & Coordination

  • Report regularly to the Head Office in India or regional headquarters.
  • Provide updates on sales performance, market trends, competition, and risks.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all Turkey operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing sales or business operations in Turkey for an automotive OEM.
  • Deep understanding of the two-wheeler or broader automotive market in Turkey.
  • Strong distributor and dealer network knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Turkish and English; knowledge of Hindi is a plus.
  • Experience in cross-functional coordination across global teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in a startup-like expansion environment.

Preferred Background:

  • Candidates from companies such as Honda, Yamaha, TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki, Hero, or other two-wheeler OEMs.
  • Experience launching or scaling an automotive brand in a new geography.
  • Turkish nationals or expats with strong local experience.
