Country Manager – Oil & Gas (Exploration Projects)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Country Manager - upstream oil/ gas to lead upstream oil & gas development projects in Iraq. The role requires hands-on sourcing upstream oil/ gas project in Iraq, the ability to navigate local government and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead business development and bidding processes to secure exploration projects.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with local government authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee local business operations, ensuring compliance with Iraq procedures and regulations.
• Manage the full lifecycle of exploration projects, from block preparation and planning to project execution and final deliverables.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Proven track record in securing and managing oil and gas projects in Iraq.
• Deep understanding of local government relations and business processes.
• Extensive experience in exploration project management, including end-to-end delivery of exploration blocks.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic preferred; familiarity with local culture and industry practices.
